I don’t think I am alone in saying brunch very well might be the best meal of the week…you can indulge in all the yummy breakfast favorites, mimosas or Bloody Marys are encouraged, and you don’t have to get up early to enjoy it! Weekend brunching may as well be a sport these days. Spots across the country are stepping up their game with unique menu offerings, over the top Bloodys, and Instagram worthy presentations. If you are looking to experience some of the best brunches in the desert, you may need to plan a few weekend-stays as there is no shortage of delightful spots!

1. Cheeky’s

This Palm Springs spot is an institution. Driving past the location on Palm Canyon on any weekend you will see the swarm of brunch-goers anxiously awaiting a table. The spot is intimate and offers a few indoor tables. The majority of their seating is outside on their ficus enclosed patio. Plan on at least an hour wait for any weekend, but it is worth it! The farm to table menu is changed weekly to include the freshest ingredients and seasonal favorites, like Early Grey French Toast and Chanterelle Risotto with Poached Egg. They also keep a handful of tried and true favorites like their Blondie Eggs Benedict and Breakfast Quesadilla. A few fun favorites include the flight of bacon (5 different flavors like Jalapeno and Applewood) and the Bloody Mary in a boot!

 2. Farm

Another quaint Palm Springs spot, Farm, is located downtown in the La Plaza shopping center. The spot is tucked behind a row of shops, and without knowing it’s there, one could easily walk right past it. Once you find the hidden gem, you will be seated in an outdoor covered patio filled with bougainvillea and sunlight. The menu is a beautifully curated selection of French favorites like the Citron Crepe and unique farm to table offerings like the Spanish Breakfast of polenta, salsa verde, and eggs. Be sure to order a Bloody Mary and French Press for the table.

3. Wilma & Frieda

Located on El Paseo, Wilma & Frieda’s menu features a mix of sweet breakfast favorites and brunch classics. Short Rib Benedict, Biscuits and Gravy, and Blackberry Custard French Toast, all top my list of indulgences. If you prefer a more lunch centric brunch, be sure to check out their list of salads, burgers, and melts. On a perfect day, be sure to grab a seat on their outdoor patio and watch the shoppers go by!

4. Workshop Kitchen + Bar

If the ultimate in boujee brunches is what you crave, then look no further than Palm Springs hot spot, Workshop. Workshop has been a dinner go-to for years, and their brunch menu is equally as inspiring…Lobster Breakfast Burrito anyone? Chef Michael Beckman has put together a menu that includes sweet treats, farm-fresh favorites, and healthy juices to entice anyone. Don’t forget to take a moment and enjoy the minimalist chic space and the concrete community table!

5. Pinocchio’s

Okay, let me start off by saying, if you are looking for a party and a good time, then Pinocchio’s is the spot for you! Located in Downtown Palm Springs, Pinocchio’s is ALWAYS packed for weekend brunch. The menu is a mix of American breakfast classics and south of the border favorites like Huevos Rancheros and Chorizo with Eggs. Be prepared for a crowd as there is little elbow room inside or on their covered patio, but that’s all part of the fun! Order up some bottomless Champagne (for only $4.95) or goblets of Bloody Marys and enjoy the party!
